This upgrade kit includes all the parts that have changed from our V1 to V2 (Phantom Edition Kit). It will allow you to utilize already purchased parts, while upgrading to our highly upgraded antweight spinner kit platform. This kit is highly discounted in order to continue supporting our customers with original kits. Any upgrade kits purchased without having previously bought an orignal kit will be refunded.
 
Assuming you have a fully running original horizontal spinner kit with the transmitter, receiver, and battery charger - aside from the battery (now a 3s 300mAh 65C recommendation - not included), this upgrade kit will convert your original kit to our V2 Phantom Edition Kit. This includes many upgraded parts including a new frame, motors, wheel hubs, titanium blade,  spinner motor/esc, weapon hub, and more!


Version 2 Upgrades:
 
Drive Motors:  While almost 30% lighter, our new antweight phantom drive motors have near doubled in torque, switched to a planetary gearbox for increased durability, and are more effiecient for battery savings.
Spinner Setup: The titanium blade is stronger alloy of grade 5 titanium, allowing for it to keep it's edge retention sharper than previously. The spinner blade has become much longer and the spinner motor & hub is now lighter, shock absorbant, and faster.
Design Alterations: The impact resistant UHMW frame now includes built in wheel guards, dramatically improving the robot's longevity in battle by eliminating the easiest way to win - the wheels. These wheel guards are thick and robust, allowing the combat robot's drive motors to be well protected, saving money and tournament losses.
Wheels & Wheel Hubs: This battle robot kit now utilizes wider wheels and wheel hubs which allow for more grip, a slimmer profile behind the wheel guards, and more durable wheel hubs.
Wiring & Internals: More pre-soldered parts have been integrated for easy assembly and replacement of parts. The main power switch now has a higher temperature rating for our powerful motors. The battery recommended is now a 3s 300mAh 65C battery, allowing for more power delivered to the motors while still providing a longer run time
